Single-Product Ad Campaigns: Search Campaign & Smart Shopping Campaign

For Lion Country Supply we have a Smart Shopping campaign running with all of their products included. As an upcoming Garmin sale was approaching we need a strategy to take control of the sale that other competitors were participating in as well. 

Solution

We created a two-layer strategy to promote the sale.

  1. The first was a Search Campaign centered around driving traffic to the sale landing page.
  2. The second was a Shopping Campaign with two ad groups, one for each Product.
  3. In order to make the products run properly, they were blocked from the smart shopping campaign so we had full control over the bids.
